The Found Type Project

Ever since I got my first digital camera, I’ve been taking photos of typography for reference and inspiration. Whether traveling or just walking around the city: good, bad, interesting, a perfect example of a genre, or completely unique – if I find it inspiring it goes into the collection. 

One thing I’ve learned through this project is that each city really does have it’s own typographic personality. So the collection is organized by location, plus a bit of a catch-all category for those places that I only have a few shots from. Just putting this out in the world so that it might inspire and inform some other designer out there. Happy type-inspo hunting!
